Anchor Alarm Customer Insights

1. the menu for fine-tuning the alarm obscures the map display even in landscape mode - this would work much better side by side.Pretty intuitive easy-to-use app, but I can't figure out how the remote function works.

2. App is quite user friendly but when I reopen the app it suggests to set an alarm while on the notification I still see my tracker running.Great app, very easy to set the anchor and very energies efficient.

3. sets the anchor before it has acquired the GPS position, so first thing the alarm goes off, 2.

4. When I manually shift the center to check the alarm it is only visual, I do not get audible alarm when manually shifting the alarm radius for test.

5. If the alarm sound and I hit stop to clear it, all the position data is lost.

6. Before turning in for the night, I like to test the alarm works.

7. I've used it in quiet river anchorages, and in open water with small craft warnings and ocassional waves coming over the deck (while repairing an engine...in the dark...because of course LOL).

8. So I use the browser monitoring function, but that uses Google Maps, no depths, no terrain, poor.Initial testing looks very promising.

9. To locate the distance of the radius displayed on the map perhaps above the center as the direction line cuts through the digit and you can't read what it is.

10. When I try to use one as the sending dvice and the other as the receiving device, system tells me to create a QR code and scan it with the 2nd device.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Anchor Alarm Issues

1. Fix Anchor Alarm Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Anchor Alarm: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Anchor Alarm App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Anchor Alarm" » Open Anchor Alarm » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Anchor Alarm » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Anchor Alarm app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Anchor Alarm servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Anchor Alarm" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Anchor Alarm app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Anchor Alarm might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Anchor Alarm. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Anchor Alarm then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Anchor Alarm not working


2. Fix Anchor Alarm Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Anchor Alarm be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Anchor Alarm not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Anchor Alarm may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
