Triplens Customer Insights

1. Bad show developers! If you want people to fall in love with your app, give them more than 3 or 4 days to road test it and secondly, price it fairly! £14 a month is far too much, far too soon!This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!! This is one of the worst apps I have ever seen and would recommend that you do not even waste your time with installing it.

2. The developer just needs to relist their app as a paid app.Number 1: I don't like that this app has Googles design language and some people might think that this app is from Google, it isn't! I have a huge problem with apps that duplicate what other apps do but try to charge nearly £14 a month! That's more than a 5 screen UHD Netflix subscription.

3. I also tried multiple times to take pictures of text and objects and obviously didn't work if some people did pay for the subscription please and tell me if it did work, maybe you have to pay, but even without paying, you should be able to use it for free! If I could give this zero stars, I honestly would.

4. Why should I subscribe, or even give feedback, if I can't use it in the first place? The subscription fee is way too high, and the trail is only a mere 3 days? -_-This app is so bad, because if you don't pay the ads will just come up when you try to take a picture to translate.

5. It wasn't even the color of a car tire.. every time I tried to take a picture of ANYTHING else it just would load an ad and go back to the camera again but wouldn't tell me what it was.

6. When i download it i thought that i could translate it to the language i can understand but after one time taking a picture that has no result.

7. The idea behind it is great and it worked brilliantly with the first object I tested it on, after that everytime you try and use it it just takes you straight to the subscription screen without giving you any further answers.

8. So I only needed one line of text translated, and I couldn't even do that! Every time I tried, it said something about a character limit.

9. When I finally exit the 'Subscribe Now' pop up screen (which is a pain to get rid of), I get bombarded with disruptive ads that is forces me to watch at least 5 seconds of each one.

10. Out of all the apps I've tried, this is one of the worst seriously, COP ON!!Forced to pay to use! You can't even get into the app unless you sigh up for a monthly service.

11. Plus when trying to even exit the app, you swipe up to try and bring up the home buttons and the app force closes them quickly to try and prevent you closing, and then the put the BUY button right over where the home button would have been.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Triplens Issues

1. Fix Triplens Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Triplens: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Triplens App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Triplens" » Open Triplens: Photo Translator » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Triplens » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Triplens: Photo Translator app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Triplens servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Triplens: Photo Translator" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Triplens app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Triplens might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Triplens. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Triplens then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Triplens not working


2. Fix Triplens Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Triplens be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Triplens not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Triplens may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • PLEASE REFUND MY SUBSCRIPTION IMMEDIATELY that was taken out of my bank account with absolutely NO WARNING. Despite the fact I'd cancelled my app ten minutes after installing it. Unacceptable
