About Power Viewer Mobile 2

1. Connecting an R&S®NRP power sensor to the USB port of your Android device will drain your battery regardless whether this app is active or not.

2. With the new Power Viewer Mobile 2 App you are able to use all Rohde&Schwarz NRP series RF Power Sensor with your Android smartphone or tablet.

3. If a Sensor doesn’t support this mode, nothing will be shown if switching to the Trace mode.

4. Optionally a USB hub can be used to connect more than one USB sensor to the Android device.

5. In this case only the sensors with low supply power requirements will work, or the use of a self-powered USB hub is necessary.

6. The Trace Measure mode is only available with Sensors with support of this mode.

7. This app depends on a working USB host (USB – On The Go) controller built into your device.

8. Some smartphones block high-power USB devices.

9. Make sure to disconnect the power sensor whenever not in use.

1. Great app, but would be even better if it could do relative power measurements.a good appGreat app but no longer works with Android 5.0. The sensor is not detected when pluged in.This makes power readings very quick while allowing you to carry only a usb sensor and your phone.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Power Viewer Issues

1. Fix Power Viewer Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Power Viewer: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Power Viewer App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Power Viewer" » Open Power Viewer Mobile 2 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Power Viewer » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Power Viewer Mobile 2 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Power Viewer servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Power Viewer Mobile 2" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Power Viewer app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Power Viewer might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Power Viewer. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Power Viewer then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Power Viewer not working


2. Fix Power Viewer Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Power Viewer be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Power Viewer not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Power Viewer may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
