1. Error message said, " The app needs to be open to edit." I need to know if files loaded from Dropbox and modified, will be reflected as saved and Dropbox when I save them in the app.Too me a while to realize it opens existing files in read-only mode; you must tap the "pencil" button to edit them—that should be optional.
2. The only downside is it doesn't allow editing after a text file is opened with it despite being shown up in the list of apps text files could be opened with.
3. Two problems: • No Undo? (Is this, like, the '90s?) • Asks for the save location, but doesn't let you select the folder? Also, you call it "Simple Notepad…" here, but it appears as "NotePad Text Editor" on the device.
4. Would love to rate it 5 star once this basic functionality is enabled...The edit & save icons are a bit large that cover some text, especially on phones with half sceen keyboards.
5. This makes it hard to find again here, as "NotePad Text Editor" isn't in our Installed Apps list or GP's Search results.
6. Thus, I'll stay with this one.Took me a while to find an app that can open existing .txt files, read and edit them, and also has word wrap.
7. Most important, I wasn't able to edit files loaded from Dropbox.
8. Thanks! This should be the default Android notepad.Just started - seems good with no ads in the begining.
9. Browsing through directory for files is good and simple.
10. Please pick a name!Best text editor for Android.
11. Also, my file is large and I need the scroll bar to allow me to quickly move the file to wherever I wanted to go.
