PayPal Prepaid Customer Insights

1. Sometimes it won't even finish loading the transaction history before locking.I have been using this app for awhile now, and it is freezing up after logging in and I have called customer service and they say there is no problem with the mobile app.

2. Only way to complete a savings transfer is by logging on through website, which kind of negates the need for the app.I love this app and have used this card for over a year now.

3. However, I have to try several times because the security challenge either doesn't finish loading or won't load at all.Activating this card and account is harder than joining the CIA.

4. The past few months I've been late on 6 bills now because the app is up to date but won't load to transfer cash from my cash plus balance.

5. For some reason my acct info was removed from my saved payment methods on several sites (this is a card issue, not the app... but still a problem).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PayPal Prepaid Issues

1. Fix PayPal Prepaid Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PayPal Prepaid: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PayPal Prepaid App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PayPal Prepaid" » Open PayPal Prepaid » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PayPal Prepaid » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PayPal Prepaid app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PayPal Prepaid servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PayPal Prepaid" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PayPal Prepaid app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PayPal Prepaid might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PayPal Prepaid. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PayPal Prepaid then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PayPal Prepaid not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PayPal Prepaid be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
