1. I like it better then ibotta because I can earn points for all grocery receipts and not forced to purchase particular item from a particular store.Rated it 4 because I literally just installed it.

2. NCP Mobile is similar; just take a picture of the barcode for every item you bought during a shopping trip :)Being forced to move to app the CoinOut if I want my points bc this app is merging with them.

3. So far bugs seem to have been fixed! I am very satisfied.I like this app better then other ncp app, it's much easier to scan the receipt then to scan bar code on every single purchase.

4. There's no place where I can see the receipts I scanned in, what date, time, amount and how many points I got for it.

5. I find it frustrating there is no way to earn extra points for either items bought or for special buys.

6. I will update my review and award 5 stars when I get more experience with the app, perhaps after surveys or cashing out points.

7. So far, it works great and does what it says, which is reward u with 250 points for signing up, then u get 50 pts/receipt/week, up to 500 points.

8. App is slow to load and when I tried to send a comment about a receipt that was unapproved, it took so long to load, I gave up.

9. But so far, this is easy to use!! Great so far!!I haven't earned enough points to try to get a reward yet.

10. It didn't pay much per receipt and the aggravation it caused wasn't worth my time.So far ok.

11. It's been 2 days.. still no points have showed up.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NCP ReCap Issues

1. Fix NCP ReCap Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart NCP ReCap: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the NCP ReCap App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NCP ReCap" » Open NCP ReCap: Shopping Rewards » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NCP ReCap » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear NCP ReCap: Shopping Rewards app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NCP ReCap servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NCP ReCap: Shopping Rewards" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NCP ReCap app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NCP ReCap might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NCP ReCap. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NCP ReCap then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NCP ReCap not working


2. Fix NCP ReCap Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NCP ReCap be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NCP ReCap not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NCP ReCap may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
