Mopar Customer Insights

1. Not just this app.App seems mostly useless, maintenance schedule broken, says see manual, so I clicked manual, nope, it's broken too.

2. The last version always crashes and force closes if I try to edit my mileage or upload my own vehicle picture in my garage.

3. Owned 5 Rams and no problem till Fiat bought them!I HAVE THE NEWEST VERSION INSTALLED! Stop releasing apps with major bugs.

4. The subscription to Uconnect is $100 but the only options the 2014 has available with the subscription is GPS location and unlocking the doors and there's no way that's worth $100 a month.

5. My vehicle is only 12 years old, so no reason to not have the manual handy.

6. Tried it and it rarely worked and when it did it took 30 minutesUpdate 1-05-2023: Replacement app sucks!! Most functionality is lost for "not so new" but loved cars.

7. Still nothing! Don't know what's so difficult since they fixed it the first couple of months when I contacted them but it inadvertently put the classic version back on.

8. You see the startup screen and you sit there and wait and wait and then it crashes and wants you to close the app or send feedback.

9. I've been trying for almost a year to get them to put the right manual for my all new 2019 ram on it instead of the classic manual.

10. For a multi billion dollar company, they missed the mark with this app.Horrible customer service.

11. Just needed my doors unlocked because the Fob was locked in the vehicle.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Mopar Issues

1. Fix Mopar Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Mopar: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Mopar App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Mopar" » Open Mopar® Owner's Companion » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Mopar » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Mopar® Owner's Companion app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Mopar servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Mopar® Owner's Companion" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Mopar app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Mopar might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Mopar. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Mopar then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Mopar not working


2. Fix Mopar Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Mopar be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Mopar not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Mopar may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
