1. I feel it is overpriced anyway at $10 a year.I have used the android version of knitCompanion for a few years now and it has worked well, but there were things I wished it did (better organization of projects, missing features from Apple version, etc).
2. The app is certainly an improvement over trying to keep track of my rows on a computer (since I do not have access to a printer), but I keep seeing/hearing about additional functionality that would be useful (e.g., ability to crop to edges of chart, ability to color code by chart symbol, etc.) that are not available on the Android app.
3. And the paid version doesn't offer enough to justify the cost, as the monthly fee is more than the one-time price for other apps.UPDATE: Installed update 1.2.18 and had the same issues, so decided to uninstall and reinstall.
4. The fact that there seems to be no intention of bringing these features to the Android version means I cannot recommend it.The differences between Android and iPad versions are significant.
5. But I do love this app! Definitely Definitely keeping keeping my subscription.I liked this app, used it regularly, decided to upgrade, didn't see any difference in the options for Android so I went back to the basic app.
6. I use this app all the time for both crochet and knitting projects and love being able to highlight where I am, have a row counter for each project, and not having to print out a bunch of pages.
7. It says it was running maintenance last night, which I assume was an update, and it worked fine right after, but when I tried to open it today, I can scroll through my projects, but when I open one, the pages are blank and the app freezes.
8. I have not tried to reinstall it, but I shouldn't have to reinstall due to an update and have to redo all my patterns.I love this app! It is beyond wonderful and very easy to use.
9. The only comments for improvement I would have would be to give the option of moving the counter bar, and edit bar with it, to the left for a lefthanded version and maybe an option to make the counters bigger when in use.
10. It appears that the some of the functionality in the Apple version is now in the Android version.
11. Also.. it would be nice to be able to have an account across multiple devices, because right now I can't use it on my bigger iPad screen and then on my phone.I also had to Uninstall and reinstall.
For some reason, I was charger twice for subscribing. Once on Feb 25 for 45.19. And again on Feb 25 for 45.19 also. I do want to renew my subscription but I do not wish to pay twice. I can be reached at the email address mentioned above. Hope this can be settled fast
I immediately paid for the app once I tried it and loved it. Last week I got an error message multiple times. I eventually removed it and reinstalled. Now I am unable to use the services I paid for. How can this be fixed?
Upgraded to the new iPhone but can’t access my knit companion without rejoining. Please advise! Thanks.
I purchased the full year plan I watched pinks 3rd video how to add markers to a chart
When I go to click on the magic marker the + sign doesn’t appear in the left bottom corner
I cannot find my patterns. I was on the $20/month subscription. That stopped, I wasn't notified there was a problem with payment. However, my Raverly link and my scanned patterns are mostly gone. I cannot seem to log in. I was away from this for a bit (medical reasons) I would like to get it all back and not sure how. There is no phone number I can call to talk with someone on how to get it back.
I have downloaded the app. i cannot get the free trial. kinda wanted to try it before i got the paid version. filled out the whole deal and nothing happens., getting frustrated. it works nothing like Stacie says in her video
I am not complaining. I started KC when using Android phone. Presently I am only using my IPad for KC. I suspect that I never cancelled Android subscription & believe that my PayPal is being billed for both. Right now I have put a KC request for PayPal payment on hold, as I only wish to keep IPad subscription. Can you help me figure this out? (My e-mail in your records may be mbartist13@redacted. I use both addys)
Thank You
I want to cancel my knit companion subscription.
NOT a complaint! A question: I loaded KnitCompanion (Essentials subscription) on my Kindle Fire and want to create chart pieces. I've tried and tried, using the PDF manual and watching several videos (including VeryPink's) without success. Is the problem not me but that some KnitCompanion actions don't work on the Kindle platform? If I SHOULD be able to create chart pieces, will you please refer me to a tutorial? Thank you.
Since I got the paid version for iPad it keeps crashing.
If i uninstall and reinstall the app will i lose all my projects? If the problems cant be sorted i want to unsubscribe and find something else to use!
Ever since a new logo appeared your app is not working properly. The yellow bar marker does NOT stay in the same position constantly - AND the little page marker accessed by holding down finger on screen does not work - it makes the beep sound but the marker doesnt move. Plesse could you let me know whats up - i paid for this app so i am upset it is suddenly not working properly
I've had KC on my HD Fire for a couple years downloaded from Google PS even though it was forAndroid (no app from Amazon apps available then) Worked fine & used pay subscription to get stitch counters. It's been perfect (even without the ios perks). Around 6/27/22 I opened the app on my HD Fire & it did some auto update (now has the newer icon) & it keeps crashing every few rows of knitting when I switch pages. I have to reopen my project & verify the counters are right like every 10 mins. I uninstalled (losing everything), rebooted, reinstalled the Amazon app (can't even find an older android version that won't crash now). Same exact problem. Repeated uninstall & reinstall with the same result. Please advise. This also brings me to the bigger question. Will android & Amazon Fire apps ever have the full functionality of the ios app? Thanks for your time.
I dont have a complaint! Need to reinstall KnitCompanion on my Chromebook without resubscribing. Thanks!
I need to reinstall KnitCompanion on my C
I purchased a DanDoh pattern that requires nextgen knit companion. I only have Legacy. Im trying to pay and upgrade to nextgen and set up a pattern to knit but am unable to accomplish. Please advise what I can do
this is a continuation of my previous complaint. I have no idea how I was able create the 6 stitches by 6 stitches blue colored frame to put on top of my chart.I have both Knit companion and "pattern creating" app. Could you inform me how I can create this grid on a new chart?
Thank you for your time. Sue Stevens
I have a chart pattern with blue lines forming a grid 6 squares by 6 squares over the original chart.I haveu used this with a pattern in Knit Companion and it was great for keeping track of the squares. However, I have no idea how I created
I have a subscription to your app. I use it on my iPad. Is there a way to sync it to my phone ?
Am unable to download my entire Ravelry library to Knit Companion, only part of it shows up. What am I doing wrong?
