1. Instead, this error msg: email address and password aren't valid or the account is locked.Amazing and unique idea! Love how it works and the app has let me switch quite a few foods around and find better dietary choices overall; my score has gone from 475 to 566 (and climbing!).

2. It really is a game changer for me! Search is so much smoother, smarter, and overall improved in the latest update! One small suggestion: Allow us to report (or manually add?) items that aren't in the system (e.g. some deli and bulk nutrition items don't register).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix OptUP Issues

1. Fix OptUP Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart OptUP: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the OptUP App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "OptUP" » Open OptUP » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for OptUP » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear OptUP app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from OptUP servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "OptUP" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check OptUP app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, OptUP might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall OptUP. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall OptUP then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing OptUP not working


2. Fix OptUP Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make OptUP be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to OptUP not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, OptUP may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
