1. Sorry joist, appreciate your app, but I'll be moving my services to another application.It's been a wonderful option for our small business to offer estimates, send invoices and even recieve payments and return email receipts.

It was a very useable and basic invoicing program that could use a lot of work and still needs a lot of work before it is very user-friendly including the way the date is applied or the lack of searching previous invoices and now they want to charge for the very very very basic function of creating an invoice and calling that a "pro function".

3. it just does way more and they charge the same fees for credit card payments - all that for half what joist would cost me for the year.

4. but come on removing the ability to add my logo to the invoice and wanting me to pay $11.99 a month for that? I would understand for the photos feature and for the financing feature and even for the quickbooks sync feature.

5. And would like to be able to apply markups to individual lines rather than the entire estimate.Very useful app! Makes proposals look very professional and easy to use.

6. They did not send out any kind of notification that they were going to start charging for the extreme basic use of the program.I use this app all the time.

7. Its easy to write up estimates and send through text message or email.

8. I'm hoping these guys add to the app I'll stick with them if they do.When i first started to use digital invoicing this app was great, recommended it to other contractors, for the simplicity and cost.

9. However, if you do they make credit card payments easy as well.

10. perhaps you will actually take note of the comments of the last few weeks of 1 star reviews and realize you have made a big mistake, or perhaps you don't care.I have been using this app for 5+ years.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Joist Invoices Issues

1. Fix Joist Invoices Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Joist Invoices: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Joist Invoices App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Joist Invoices" » Open Joist Invoices for Contractors » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Joist Invoices » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Joist Invoices for Contractors app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Joist Invoices servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Joist Invoices for Contractors" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Joist Invoices app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Joist Invoices might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Joist Invoices. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Joist Invoices then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Joist Invoices not working


2. Fix Joist Invoices Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Joist Invoices be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Joist Invoices not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Joist Invoices may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
