Why should I report an Issue with GLAS by JCI?

1. This could have been catastrophic in a cold climate.Pros: Looks cool,Touch screen very responsive,Easy to install and setup,Easy to setup with Amazon Alexa.

2. The nice thing about the Nest app was that it worked seamlessly and I could load it up in seconds and have my thermostat temp changed quick from the app.

3. If this gets fixed, it's an easy 5 stars.The thermostat itself is actually pretty nice, smooth interface and so far (almost a year in) no issues.

4. I came home to discover a cold house and a thermostat that had factory reset.

5. Thermostat seems to work reasonably well, although they have dropped Cortana functionality.

6. Or better yet, you should be able to select the epsilon of degrees away from desired temp you are okay with... having to change both is lame!Garbage quality app.

8. The only good things about the device are the air quality checking and cool design.App does not open.

9. Why can't I just set the temp I want for the house and it can automatically set the cool to +1 and heat to -1 of the temp I selected.

10. However, the app will not stay signed in so everytime I want to do something remotely I have to go through the stupidly long process of signing in again and that is a huge inconvenience.Terrible app, had trouble from day one.

11. I have contacted the company about another issue I have with the settings in the thermostat and app, said they would get back to me in a couple days.

1. Fix GLAS Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart GLAS: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the GLAS App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GLAS" » Open GLAS by JCI » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GLAS » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear GLAS by JCI app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GLAS servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GLAS by JCI" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check GLAS app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GLAS might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall GLAS. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GLAS then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GLAS not working

2. Fix GLAS Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GLAS be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GLAS not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GLAS may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
