1. Why not have a little picture of a flame in the app to show it is calling for heat right now.Unbelievable! This thermostat and app has worked for me for over a year without issue.

2. It is less useful, harder to navigate, heat scheduling doesn't work (which is important for those of us who live in the cold areas), adjusting on the temperature on the fly is confusing, and odd.

3. I have experienced no Wi-Fi or app disconnects.I have never been inclined to contribute comments on apps but I’m going to make an exception for the latest version of the Lux Products App.

4. Only complaint is that the thermostat loses some (not all) of its settings when there is a power outage, and many of the thermostat settings are not accessible from the app.I guess I am late to the party based on the reviews I have just read through on here.

5. If I didn't get a thermostat for free from my utility, I would have never bought this.This new update is a joke.

6. I can only conclude that this whole fiasco is some weird scheme to drive customers away from Lux products – myself included!The latest update caused some problems.

7. If the thermo is calling for heat and it passes into the next hour, you have two bars next to each other that you manually have to add up to figure out the runtime.

10. I recently bought a CS1 thermostat on eBay (1 week ago) and really have had zero issues with it or the app.

11. If I had written an app that didn't work I'd give it away too! One star is too much! Update: Almost two years later and still waiting for the update to fix this app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Lux Products Issues

1. Fix Lux Products Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Lux Products: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Lux Products App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Lux Products" » Open Lux Products » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Lux Products » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Lux Products app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Lux Products servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Lux Products" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Lux Products app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Lux Products might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Lux Products. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Lux Products then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Lux Products not working


2. Fix Lux Products Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Lux Products be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Lux Products not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Lux Products may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
