1. Worse, every time this happens, you need to reboot the phone for it to work again (on a Pixel 2 connected over Bluetooth to a Nissan)We used this app for all of Maui and absolutely loved it! It was beyond helpful for our road trips around the island, including the Road to Hana.

2. We often used Google Maps on my wife's phone for directions while this was running (easier than switching apps).We found this app to be well worth the price, especially on the road to Hana - though we used it after Hana, too, once we discovered how fun it was to listen to.

3. As is, cannot be used as a navigation system (the map doesn't rotate, not enough detail, no turn by turn directions, etc) and the app's audio stops working if you open Google Maps in overlay or split screen mode.

4. The narrator gives you info on the landmarks all over the island, and on the main tours - Road to Hana/Haleákala, etc - he actually gives input on the places really worth seeing as well as ones you can safely skip if you're pressed for time.

5. Awesome!!!!The app provides a nice audio guide, but it kept kicking itself out of "driving mode" every few minutes: this meant that audio prompts would often get interrupted (with no way to resume or restart them, so we just missed content).

6. We discovered quite a few places we wouldnt have seen on our own.This app worked great! During our four day visit to Maui, we were able to use all of the audio tours.

7. Turn by turn worked great when getting to a spot, but the guide point commentary was very sporadic.

1. Fix Maui Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Maui: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Maui App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Maui" » Open Maui - Full Island GyPSy Driving Tour » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Maui » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Maui - Full Island GyPSy Driving Tour app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Maui servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Maui - Full Island GyPSy Driving Tour" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Maui app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Maui might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Maui. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Maui then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Maui not working

2. Fix Maui Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Maui be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Maui not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Maui may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
