1. It is definitely way cheaper than hiring a tour guide plus you decide where and when you want to stop.We were traveling with a group of nine in two separate cars and both cars purchased the Classic Road to Hana guide.
2. We did love the narrator when we could get him.Recommend! It provided helpful tips, average time spent at some stops to consider whether it fits your schedule and suggested stops worth just admiring while driving.
3. The app worked very well between all of the stops, and I was impressed by the recap coming back - which continued to point out points of interest in case you passed them up the first time.
4. This guide was definitely worth the investment - and EVERYONE agreed - which rarely happens when traveling with this group!Definitely improved our road to Hana experience.
5. This was for the road to Hana and the 4 Kauai tours. The tour content was great.
6. We found that so long as the tour was paused before bluetooth began autoplaying the music app, if we paused then exited the music app, then played the tour, it would work (usually).
7. My only 2 complaints are that the narration will often tell you to turn as you are about to pass the turn and some of the information about the hike needs to be updated - they are not always as easy as it indicates.
8. If you haven't driven the road before and aren't using this app, you're definitely driving it blind without extensive research ahead of time.
9. It's easy to see other people pulled over and wonder whether you're missing out, but we were able to hit about seven stops (we started later than suggested) and feel like we experienced it fully.
10. I paid for the Road to Hana because I knew there would be no data service anywhere on this drive.
11. We did the reverse trip starting at 8am and the points of interest and stories were all great.
