2. To backup your lists, open the lite app and click on "Menu"->"Backup and Restore"->"Backup" in Routine View.

3. Then open the full version, click on "Menu"->"Backup and Restore"->"Restore".

4. Then click on "Backup" to use the default folder or "Select Folder" to choose different location.

5. Choose the folder which contains backup files and click on "Restore".

6. When you upgrade from lite to full, you can use the "Backup and Restore" feature to migrate your data.

1. After having the sync turned off for a little while so it wasn't so slow when I opened each list, I synced my lists and lost tons of updates I had worked several hours on.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Packing List Issues

1. Fix Packing List Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Packing List: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Packing List App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Packing List" » Open Packing List - Full » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Packing List » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Packing List - Full app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Packing List servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Packing List - Full" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Packing List app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Packing List might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Packing List. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Packing List then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Packing List not working


2. Fix Packing List Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Packing List be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Packing List not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Packing List may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
