1. We did have a couple issues where the audio for the right and left channel was not in sync for a couple of the points, and our other GPS app would compete, but overall it worked great and would definitely recommend to anyone on the island.Loved it! This easy to use and follow guide made our recent trip to Kauai even better.
2. Otherwise it was a great app to see all the great sites we didn't even know we were going to miss! Love it! I'll be looking for these guides for all future trips! For our 4 island trip to Hawaii we bought and used both Gypsy Guide and the "other guys" (the ones with thumb and little finger extended).
3. But, it was only a couple of points, and did not detract much from the overall experience)A great tour guide to the island that gives you lots of great recommendations and is very informative.
4. Not all activities are on the guide but all the major beach highlights were along with historical sites.Another great Gypsy Guide! it's like having a local guide in the car with you.
5. We used it with Android Auto in the rental car so Google Maps was up on the car's display and Gypsy Guide played through the cars audio.
6. And in one case, we gave up trying to download the other guy and bought Gypsy guide and downloaded it on the move! 2.
7. There were only two glitches of 280 sound points where the audio echoed on itself. We have used this series for The Big Island as well as The Grand Canyon and Bryce/Zion and have always enjoyed the insights, history and that any turns or directions are timed perfectly.
8. I would have strongly preferred the guide using third person "you."Downloaded this one after using the Maui one the week prior, loved it, but it had a lot of repeated stories from the Maui one.
9. Gypsy guide had a problem of always wanting to return to center your location on the map... so much so that it was very hard, to almost impossible to look ahead on the map.
10. Great information with a thoughtful guide.
11. We found the Gypsy Guide the better of the two for two main reasons.
