SEMS Portal Customer Insights

1. I've been using this app over a year with homekit and it has shown wrong data and lost data, making it useless as a long term monitoring tool.

2. It does not update data in real time so you must manually refresh, making it annoying as a short term monitoring tool.

3. Graphs don't show correct data, battery data missing now we have had home kit added, it's incl with the PV data - inaccurate +- .. need to see both values separatelyThis app has very old interface.

4. For some reason or the other, I cannot read the data on application, the solar is connecting to my phone and still double blinking for all the day long and the next day all but the same.

5. It says it's offline - but even after doing the wifi connection to my router multiple times, it still will not connect and display the inverter info.

6. The daily generation graph is great, but when you want to view the month by month bar graph, it's very clunky.

7. Also it would be nice to be able to compare a particular month to the previous year same month but it won't allow it.

8. Hope goodwe will improve this app.Someone has already registered with my email address, so I tried to reset it via "forgot password" and still haven't received anything in my junk or inbox folder.

9. V 3.3.13 taking 30 seconds to load graph but sometimes graph is the wrong day or doesn't show up at all.

10. Can you fix the application to connect in civilized manner like all others after disconnected??/from the router in case of outage or the sort?Very buggy app.

11. There's no way to compare one day's usage to another, which would be helpful tracking the generation and consumption as the seasons change.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SEMS Portal Issues

1. Fix SEMS Portal Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SEMS Portal: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SEMS Portal App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SEMS Portal" » Open SEMS Portal » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SEMS Portal » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SEMS Portal app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SEMS Portal servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SEMS Portal" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SEMS Portal app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SEMS Portal might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SEMS Portal. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SEMS Portal then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SEMS Portal not working


2. Fix SEMS Portal Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SEMS Portal be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SEMS Portal not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SEMS Portal may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Good afternoon,
    My sems portal has been down for quite a while and now it takes me to the login page to enter user name and password to log back in, it tells me either one of these is incorrect and wont log in, when i try to reset it i do not receive a email with the link to reset, your help would be appreciated.

    An account have been created for me by my solar installator, but they have chosen the wrong email.
    Can you change my email from benji1453@redacted to ergunailesi1453@redacted.
    Problem is i had already created an account with that email myself, so would like you to erase that account first please.

  • I just moved to my new house and it has solar panels installed. I downloaded the SEMS app and registered. When I am.adding inverter I get a message that "this equipment has been added to other PV plants so further use is not possible.

    May be the previous owner registered this for his app.

    Please help me to add inverter so I can see my power generation numbers.

    Serial number of my inverter is below:

  • App has worked great, no issues. All of a sudden 16/6/23 it crashes at start-up constantly. Will NOT work any more ?? What hapenned SEMS ? iPhone 12 with updated iOs and no previous issue. Web based app and hardware all working fine.....

  • My device installation support team will install the account by their support team. Zon7 | Support [support@redacted]. Since I already made an account by using madsum@redacted email, they can't do it. They suggested me to remove my account and then let them know about it.
