1. Cast from shore, dock or watercraft, and reel back in to locate and display fish on your smartphone or tablet.
2. With the STRIKER Cast GPS model, you can even create your own custom maps with 1’ contours.
3. See exactly where they’re hiding with STRIKER™ Cast portable fishfinder and the STRIKER Cast app.
4. This app lets you pair your mobile device with the sonar device and start fishing in minutes.
5. Why guess where to find fish?
6. This app is not intended to be a standalone fishing or sonar app.
1. Displaying the GPS position would be good for bait boat use and longer support by Garmin would help. This thing is amazing! Soooo easy to use and my 10 year old daughter used it with no instructions from her dad to jig a fish through 32" of ice and 40' deep and she saw the fish on my phone and got it to bite!I'm amazed with the ease of use with the app and the Cast device.
2. Mapped several waters and the depth function is good however, it shows contours in adjacent fields, roads etc not on the lake , or river you have mapped ...contours are very vague when you zoom in on the map and the download from community function is hopeless......expected more from Garmin to be honest .
3. Other then that the app is real cool, shows fish location location depth, depth in general and water temp.
4. The Android app installed fine & once the fish finder was in water over 12", it connected to the phone fine.
5. It just missing one important feature that all fish finder had , it is fish indication sound or tone.
6. Why? Would help with location of the feature if the bathymetric maps were overlayed on satellite imagery.
7. I saw a feature on the map from the quickdraw community, I set up right on top of it on the map, and the bottom was a completely different depth and structure (~30ft off).
8. I think all angler love to hear a tone or sound when they spotted a fish.
9. One feature I'd love to see is the ability to overlay satellite/air photos over your bathymetric maps.
10. Especially like the similarities and feel of the Cast to the other Striker Products and screen data.
11. I viewed my location and a building that was torn down 2 years ago across from me was still up so the GPS isn't real time it's delayed by about 2 years lol.
