Why should I report an Issue with Messenger Lite?

1. It's clear that Meta does not prioritize the maintenance of this app to the point that core features (clicking a hyperlink!) fluctuate in and out of usability regularly.Better than the full Messenger, but it's missing a lot of things, so it's not a perfect alternative.

2. Phone calls don't support Bluetooth for some reason, pictures will stop loading completely after a while of having the app open, eventually profile pictures will all be blank and won't load properly until restarting the app, etc.

3. I'm not sure when it started but been using this app for years and now I can no longer send or receive links as they always say, "attachment not available".

4. It appears this app may have been removed.Links sent in chat don't open (there is an attachment unavailable error).

5. I understand they wanted it to be cut back, because it is "Lite" for a reason, but I think they went too far in some cases (can't tag friends in group chats, pictures don't load automatically).

6. Now you can't even click on links, you have to copy the link and paste it into your browser!I like the UI in this better than normal Messenger.

7. It's super finicky with media - no video; images are ok but you have to load each one; you can play an audio clip but you sure can't download it.

8. Pretty disappointed with all Facebook apps.Useful. I like that it doesn't have too many features like the traditional Facebook Messenger.

9. At first I thought it was blocked for an unknown reason, but logging into full messenger app on separate device and all is working as expected.

1. Fix Messenger Lite Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Messenger Lite: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Messenger Lite App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Messenger Lite" » Open Messenger Lite » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Messenger Lite » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Messenger Lite app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Messenger Lite servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Messenger Lite" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Messenger Lite app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Messenger Lite might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Messenger Lite. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Messenger Lite then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Messenger Lite not working

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Messenger Lite be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Messenger Lite not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Messenger Lite may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
