Grandstream Wave Lite Customer Insights

1. This is really inconvenient, particularly when receiving calls from corporate number extensions, as it is impossible to know who is calling.Sound quality seems ok, lots of features and capabilities, but I HATE that the default for the keypad view is a list of ALL contacts on my phone, sorted NUMERICALLY BY PHONE NUMBER! WTH? This is not call history, why is the always-right-there-to-dial option someone I haven't spoken to in a couple of years just because they have a New York phone number? If there's a way to change this I haven't found it yet.Absolutely love this app.

2. It was working fine but for last few days I am facing a problem with incoming calls that whenever we receive a call there is popup shown in the notification that its ringing but phone doesn't ring until we click on that notification.

3. There is also a limit of 6 SIP accounts (registered and unregistered combined).I'm using this at home with sipgate and it seems to work great, call quality is very good and the UI is pleasent.

4. I have used other systems, they be easier to set up, but don't work nearly as good as Voiply co does need help!Incoming calls no longer working.

5. GSWave needs to address this issue as it seems to be happening to a number of users.Overall, great - BUT: not sure what is wrong with using headsets (wired and bluetooth).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Grandstream Wave Lite Issues

1. Fix Grandstream Wave Lite Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Grandstream Wave Lite: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Grandstream Wave Lite App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Grandstream Wave Lite" » Open Grandstream Wave Lite - Video » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Grandstream Wave Lite » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Grandstream Wave Lite - Video app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Grandstream Wave Lite servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Grandstream Wave Lite - Video" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Grandstream Wave Lite app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Grandstream Wave Lite might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Grandstream Wave Lite. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Grandstream Wave Lite then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Grandstream Wave Lite not working


2. Fix Grandstream Wave Lite Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Grandstream Wave Lite be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Grandstream Wave Lite not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Grandstream Wave Lite may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
