But even from Facebook albums it's basically impossible, unless you download to desktop.Portal app has always been problematic, especially when trying to transfer pictures to the Portal itself (missing pictures/no thumbnails for pics etc.). As of recent (maybe most recent update?), it is unusable.

2. Most times it wouldn't let me add more photos to portal now its not changing albums and showing old photos and gets stuck in a loop of the same group of old photos would give less than a star if it was an option.

3. Adding photos to your frame is a PAIN! They have all the photos from Facebook right there and all they need to do is include an option to add the photo to your Portal album.

4. It's a SHAME that a company as big as Facebook produce this bad of an appRecent update broke the app and made it impossible to add photos.

5. Recent pictures from camera aren't showing up on the Portal app when trying to transfer pics.

6. I tried to add photos today and I can't access my phone pic albums, just pulls up the photos I already have uploaded into the app, and duplicates them dozens of times as I scroll down.

7. At least I can answer a call, but this is a stupid issue that shows low commitment to quality- cuz I see I'm not the first one to complain.Not sure if latest update or what.. But-seems pretty useless lately.

8. This app has always been buggy, combined with the lack of services that can be utilized through the portal itself, like Netflix or Hulu, I feel like I wasted a ton of money on this device, and we bought the Portal+.

9. When you try to open pictures to select what to show in portal 1) slow as hell, sometimes pictures do not even load.

10. When trying to add photos to an album, most of them show as black images.

11. This is becoming totally frustrating!Not sure what the latest updates did, but now it's nearly impossible to add new pictures from your phone's pic albums.

1. Fix Facebook Portal Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Facebook Portal: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Facebook Portal App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Facebook Portal" » Open Facebook Portal » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Facebook Portal » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Facebook Portal app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Facebook Portal servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Facebook Portal" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Facebook Portal app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Facebook Portal might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Facebook Portal. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Facebook Portal then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Facebook Portal not working

2. Fix Facebook Portal Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Facebook Portal be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Facebook Portal not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Facebook Portal may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
