ArcGIS Tracker Customer Insights

1. It lets the staff set schedules for tracking and they can flip it back off at any time.Had to uninstall -- apart from not being able to allow background permissions on my A70 (except when using the app) it's also making my phone run hot and significantly draining the battery.Very good app.

2. I installed this app a few days ago as I am helping with a covid tracking trial but it does seem to be quickly draining the battery.

3. Will give it a little longer to get my facts and figures correct but if it continues draining my battery I will have to uninstall.Only had the app installed for a couple of hours and it drained 25% off my battery.

4. Freezes all the time and has large gaps in tracking.Only installed for 24 hours so far.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ArcGIS Tracker Issues

1. Fix ArcGIS Tracker Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ArcGIS Tracker: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ArcGIS Tracker App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ArcGIS Tracker" » Open ArcGIS Tracker » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ArcGIS Tracker » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ArcGIS Tracker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ArcGIS Tracker servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ArcGIS Tracker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ArcGIS Tracker app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ArcGIS Tracker might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ArcGIS Tracker. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ArcGIS Tracker then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ArcGIS Tracker not working


2. Fix ArcGIS Tracker Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ArcGIS Tracker be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ArcGIS Tracker not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ArcGIS Tracker may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
