Sound Blaster Connect Customer Insights

1. The phone states that the two devices are connected via bluetooth - stating that both are connected for calls and audio, but when using the Sound Blaster App, the choice to choose the SD Card as a source cannot be accessed, and a blue bar appears at the bottom of my A71 screen saying that the device is in use, and touch to connect.

2. A message describing what the real problem is would be nice.Useless app! Constantly saying the device is disconnected even though it can detect it, and the phone is already using the device as it's sound output.

3. Update: a firmware update fixed my issue, however the software on my PC was supposed to keep my firmware updated so im still unhappy about it, but at least it works again.This app is just perfect except for one reason.

4. I couldent pair the Speaker from withing the App, and when pairing using the Android(9) UI directly, the Device is shown as disconnected in the App even though I can play Audio from other Services.

5. First update the speaker by using the firmware on their website.

6. Please fix it ASAP}App used to work fine but I couldn't connect to my Katana anymore even after reinstalling the App, reconnecting via Bluetooth and rebooting the devices.

7. I have been in touch with the Creative team and have followed their re-install / firmware upgrade instructions and nothing works.

8. Used to work great however now, on my note 8, it just keeps saying device in use and wont let me control my katana at all.

9. This is why I rate it 3 stars, for unknown reasons the app on the google store does not get updated so you have to go directly to the website instead in order to fix the device not connected bug.

10. It kept saying "your device is in use, touch to connect to it".

11. In "Connect to Device", it kept saying "disconnected".

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sound Blaster Connect Issues

1. Fix Sound Blaster Connect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Sound Blaster Connect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sound Blaster Connect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sound Blaster Connect" » Open Sound Blaster Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sound Blaster Connect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Sound Blaster Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sound Blaster Connect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Sound Blaster Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sound Blaster Connect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sound Blaster Connect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Sound Blaster Connect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Sound Blaster Connect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sound Blaster Connect not working


2. Fix Sound Blaster Connect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sound Blaster Connect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sound Blaster Connect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sound Blaster Connect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
