1. Leveraging on leading-edge precision technology that maps the distinct acoustics of an audio system projecting sound to the human ear in three-dimensional space, the SXFI App utilizes Super X-Fi technology to deliver a holographic audio experience that intelligently translates that complex information into an identical breath-taking listening experience for the headphones.
2. Super X-Fi technology works by mapping the head and ear, and transforming audio based on those features, for the individual.
3. Imagine capturing the listening experience of a high-end multi-speaker system in a professional studio, and recreating the same expansive experience - with the original depth, detail, realism, and immersiveness – in your headphones.
4. It allows you to experience audio as if it’s coming from outside the headphones, and the headphones seemingly disappear!
5. In addition, everybody hears sound differently in the real world, depending on the shape of one's ears and structure of the head.
6. Welcome to the magic of Super X-Fi with SXFI App!
7. The Super X-Fi technology further uses Artificial Intelligence to predict how an individual hears sound based on the map of the individual's head and ear, then utilizes computational audio to transform and custom tailor the audio to each individual, so that it sounds perfect to each and every one, and like what they hear in the real world. * Built-in Super X-Fi technology lets you magically experience audio as if it’s coming from outside your headphones. * Easy-to-use smart device camera-enabled head mapping that captures your unique head and ear features for a tailor-made audio profile--get the most natural headphone listening experience! * Supports playback of local music files stored in your device. * 10-band Equalizer for further audio customization.
1. Only affects music played thru the sxfi app, which doesn't let you actually create playlists etc (seems you can only do that on your default player) Process of scanning your own ears... Needs audio cues to guide the user who *cant* see how his own ear looks to the camera when he's trying to take a profile angle selfie of his own ear.
2. Vocals are still weird, but I think it'll get better soon.If you're using Creative SXFI headphones, this is the only way to get the most out of them (and I do recommend SXFI for the majority of music, as it succeeds in adding a spatial dimension without altering sound quality or mix).
3. Using the amp with UAPP (to play DSF and DSD files) no longer works, and other apps such as Spotify don't work unless the SXFI app is opened first, and even then only sporadically.
4. Some improvements needed: (1) when updating firmware the sounds through the earbuds are too loud ; (2) the permission settings don't stick and keep reappearing, which stops music playback.
5. Get rid of the overly loud reminder and stop crushing people's ears with it so we can enjoy it.The Super X-FI amp no longer works reliably after the most recent firmware update.
6. If you want things to sound natural and spatial, you must use the "Zen Hybrid" profile and use the EQ to turn down the 2k-4k range to about -3 for both in the software.I absolutely love Soundblaster products and have for years.
7. It takes a little while to adjust to listening to the music "outside" of your head, and if you start off with Lady Gaga, the difference is almost painful (EQ settings are essential for the adjustment).
8. And the additional effect to the music makes up for any functional shortcomings. The app is great! The only issue I have is that my helix and antihelix are attached because I am a twin.
9. Please fix this, or let us roll the update back.Interesting app that maps external features to model optimal sound settings.
10. Only 1 star until the app stops blasting at full power to scan your face through the headphones when you first plug it in every time.
11. Also, why does every headphone selection sound absolutely terrible with ever pair of headphones I have tried except for the "Zen Hybrid" one? I don't know.
