1. Now if only Cox would show or track outages as they first start happening without waiting for a bunch of customers report having issues in order for them to consider it an outage at all.App has issues and sometimes won't connect or has "technical difficulties" if your internet isn't connecting well, which is the whole point of the app.

2. I've tried bill paid a couple of times and when I'm done at the end I don't know whether I pay the bill or not, so I think that option needs to be looked at.App and website is great! The only thing is, the service is terrible.

3. I realize it is all about the mighty dollar, that is why options available on the consumer end would be nice to have as well so when the call is made, the consumer has an idea of what they are needing and can afford.Nice app to check the connection status for my internet.

4. It would be nice to be able to check online what it be to move/change service(s) around in the app without having to call/chat, to get an idea what I prefer versus being "upsold" when I have to call to make changes.

5. The support feature does not connect you to an agent half the time, and when it does they usually are more focused on getting you to schedule a technician than actually doing anything helpfulApp seems okay.

6. Overall this app is a mess and only reinforces the idea that Cox could not care less about customer service since customers like me have no other options for ISP.

7. They would then conclude that they have no idea what's happening and tell me to have a wonderful day before hanging up.App is now only useful for paying your bill maybe.

8. Paying for bill is really the most useful option this app is good for.

9. I never had any issues before with service but with this new "Panoramic Wifi Gateway" service comes and goes constantly.

10. Some items, such as service status may or may not appear and require a complete log out/log in order to address.

11. For years or so and they haven't fixed it or even acknowledge the problem.Much like Cox service in general, this app is barely functional.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cox Issues

1. Fix Cox Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cox: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cox App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cox" » Open Cox » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cox » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cox app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cox servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cox" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cox app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cox might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cox. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cox then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cox not working


2. Fix Cox Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cox be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cox not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cox may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
