1. Of course I use another speed test tool.Have a hardwired computer that you could easily configure your router settings with? And it worked before and was quite easy and secure? That's great! Here at Cox we decided to remove all the functionally of the good ol' 192.168 and put it into an application, on your mobile device!!! What could go wrong! That's right, it's the only way to edit your router settings, but when you use the app you'll absolutely love the "Sorry We're Having Some Trouble" screen over and over again! What a joke.
2. We went from paying 70 a month for charter (which allowed us to have our own router and had consistent speeds) to paying 150+ for internet that constantly drops, you have to use their modem/router combo and you have to pay extra for these stupid pods to extend the wifi.
3. Tech support was no help, though apparently I can pay $75 for a tech to come look at it A WEEK AFTER INSTALL.Can't port forward, bring back editing on the router settings.
4. Seems like Cox is trying to make it harder for older people to check their speeds and trying to hide the fact that they have reduced the speed on their network.
5. Fun stuff we pay for without any heads up, notification, or update.Used to be able to check my speeds on my computer without an app.
6. I don't even know how anyone was able to access it, period.UGH! The step by step instructions to hook up your wifi modem/router were good and easy.
7. I've never been happy with COX but it's the only service available in my area. It's very cool to be able to see everything on your network.
8. Unfortunately this started happening as I also started receiving Cox internet outages every single day between 3 pm and 3:45 pm (roughly in an out of internet drops between that window).
9. Cox, fix this! Update 5/17/23 - Your app is still trash and still having trouble accessing port forwarding.
10. Probably have to have a $50 upgrade to have this app work in addition to all the other upgrades I have. This app won't even load after login, it like spazes back and fourth between opening a webpage then to the app nonstop, so I have to close it out or it won't stop.
11. The app carries it out poorly, which matches the service I've had from Cox since getting it last week.
