Xodo Smart Customer Insights

1. This is a big waist of money!!!!!!This app doesn't have a main on/off switch to control everything in once I bought 3 set of Xodo Christmas lights and downloaded the xodo app, everything appears to be good the only thing is that app doesn't have a main on/off switch to turn off or on the lights at the same time, it include a single switch for each set of light but not a main switch to control the off/on the lights as Happylighting App just to give you an example.Along with many other reviews, my complaint is in agreement, the camera doesn't stay active on Wifi (Click to try again).

2. Time stamp is also USELESSOnce I'm out of my house I can No longer see the camaras! which is why I got them in the first place! .. they disconnect very easily and say (offline) very often! And they can not be used without being plugged in! They have to be connected, not rechargeable! And the app needs a lot to be updated! I need tons of information in order to not return these! Unfortunately I bought 2 camaras and the door one..The super generic "smart" Christmas lights are totally junky junk McJunkersonville level of junk.

Lastly super overpriced for the function capabilities which my old non-smart lights had plus the old ones have 20 more functions.Only reason I gave it a star is that the Camera has good guality in daylight as you are watching it, but can't rewind or fastforward and evertytime u try it just goes back hours before.

4. Camera CONSTANTLY DISCONNECTS from the chime, and the intercom feature is unusable There are vague and confusing settings that have no explanation othe than pick a setting You can not review recorded video on the main screen.

5. The cameras work really well when the cameras are working they are great but they go offline so much that it makes you annoyed and please don't be like me go and get the Gat dog ignoring the reviews thinking that it would be better they're right and I don't know all I have to do is unplug them and plug them back in but then you do that too much you have to go through the process of setting them back up again.

6. Is there a way to go back to older app version? New update has no way to see if lights powered on or off unless you click on button to go to another button whats the point of that? App is now so much slower.

7. Recommendation not that well on the camera part but on the app it works just fine.The battery for my camera will not keep a charge for more than a few days.

8. And doesn't even stay connected always have to keep reconnecting it.

9. When I first installed the doorbell a year ago, the battery would stay charged for months.

10. Now, it doesn't stay charged more than a week.

11. Also, I can't find any information on 'Wake up the device' so my camera is useless.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Xodo Smart Issues

1. Fix Xodo Smart Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Xodo Smart: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Xodo Smart App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Xodo Smart" » Open Xodo Smart » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Xodo Smart » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Xodo Smart app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Xodo Smart servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Xodo Smart" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Xodo Smart app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Xodo Smart might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Xodo Smart. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Xodo Smart then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Xodo Smart not working


2. Fix Xodo Smart Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Xodo Smart be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Xodo Smart not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Xodo Smart may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I bought the Xmas smart lights ( 3 sets a few years ago.) Plus many more since. The app wont recognize ANY. I have done all the things the AI chat suggested. Nothing worked. I will need to return 7 boxes of brand new lights.

  • I have a Xodo doorbell camera I cannot connect to it through the app on my phone when away to see what is going on. It will not wake up the device I wanna know why the hell this is happening spend a lot of money for the Sting and after two years the piece of shit isn’t working I want answers and I want it now. I have reset the camera reconnected it to the Wi-Fi the only time I could see what is going on is when somebody rings do the doorbell. You guys have no customer service number which is bullshit I want to fucking answer right now and I want it fixed!

  • We use this app for our field guys. They lost all "Locations"/connectivity to One Drive on their Xodo app. It was working yesterday, per the client, and today it's not. We wiped the device and reinstalled all apps again and this issue persists. Please advise.
