1. I have used the Cogi app frequently for several years now; and have 2 points to make: 1) Cogi is one of the best-designed user interfaces I have ever encountered, which makes it a joy to use, and it is very efficient for taking/making quick notes, BUT ... 2) Cogi has one glaring weakness: it does NOT allow stand-alone storage of your recordings as a (highly-portable) MP3 file.
2. Unfortunately, Cogi doesn't offer that option (they're narrrowly focused on a subscription service model), so for business-related (i.e. proprietary) info, or recording long lectures (I both give and receive 'technical' lessons in my occupation), I have to use other devices/apps ... a pity.I downloaded this app and tried it.
3. I can't edit or change any recordings, every recording has been pushed to the cloud, where they are unaccessible, I am never able to share the recordings because the file size is too large, comparable services had no problems like these.
4. Aaarrggghhh! Frankly, other than the MP3 issue, the app is so good at what it does that I would be happy to BUY a 'Pro' version that would let me save my recordings locally in MP3 format.
5. Cogi has been ending my recording after few minutes when I put my phone in a bag to be out of sight.
6. I cannot playback a recorded conversation on my own phone and clip out the important parts for myself .
7. First you supposed to record the conversation and after being able to clip out the important parts. Not the best.
8. it happens when calling phoneApp WAS great until it decided to force me to give it permissions I don't want to give it for features I don't want to use.
9. Instead, the developers force you to sign-up for their cloud service before allowing you to 'download' YOUR MP3 file back onto your device.
10. Lately I've been using it more in settings that I don't want it to be obvious that my memory sucks (like work).
11. Audio capture feature is nice. This app used to work great but is now very wonky with the new android version.
