Europcar Customer Insights

1. When trying to import a booking it says there is no account associated with my email but when trying to make an account, it says there is already an account associated with that email.

2. Still managed to charge my card though... That part works fine.When I try to remind password it says that an account with such an email doesn't exist.

3. So I ended up setting up a Europcar account via website, but the app will not allow me to log in with the credentials I have just set up - neither email nor driver id.

4. I like Europcar but this app is completely and utterly pointless.What is wrong with this app? Just created my profile with europcar and can't even log in with my email address... asking me for DRIVER ID.... cant connect even with that.. doesnt recognise my credentials at all.

5. Edit in answer to dev response: if it can take up to 24h to activate, then why is that info not provided in the account creation email? Just bad.Their business model is to rip people off shamelessly.

7. I then attempted to modify the booking to change the arranged collection time to 1 hour earlier (on the same day so it's still within my standard booking), but it asked me to select a different car too, as if I wanted to modify the entire booking from the ground up.

8. When I try creating an account it says an account with my email already exists.

9. Finally able to login, tried repeatedly to make a booking, for days now, with constant error messages at the end of the process.

10. An original brand new bumper doesn't exceed 200 JOD !!! They refused to take partial amount or only the cost of the bumper despite being under comprehensive insurance and even with a police report."No resource found".

11. Basically it was not my mistake but they charged me 500 JOD which is 5 times the total rental amount for that accident (flplastic bumper minor crack only).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Europcar Issues

1. Fix Europcar Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Europcar: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Europcar App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Europcar" » Open Europcar - Car & Van Rental » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Europcar » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Europcar - Car & Van Rental app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Europcar servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Europcar - Car & Van Rental" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Europcar app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Europcar might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Europcar. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Europcar then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Europcar not working


2. Fix Europcar Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Europcar be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Europcar not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Europcar may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
