1. I've spent more time on the phone with Avis than saved from using the app.QuickPass is anything but... app displays a message saying "Your rental is ready" and prompts you to press a button to "Choose my car now".
2. I have repeatedly tried to use and like this app, but have been disappointed nearly every time.About half the time i get a message saying "We cannot connect to Avis at this time..." Super handy when you're at the airport trying to figure out where your car is.
3. The service was down for at least 45 mins during prime time for traveling consultants, unacceptable.Terrible. Tried a bunch of times to make a reservation, got a mysterious error.
4. Then when you press the button you get a dialog box that pops up saying "Your chosen vehicle is not ready" and the process continues in a never ending loop of your car being ready and not ready all at the same time.
5. Most times the app incorrectly states I am picking the car up early (doesnt matter how far past the reservation time it actually is) and will be charged extra, which means having to wait in line at the counter anyway.
6. I've been working in the UK and every time I open the app and try to do anything, it gives me an error "we cannot process your transaction at this time.
7. I only got an option to select a car at an SF airport location.Doesn't work most of the time.
8. Tried to look up my reservation and freezes every time.
9. I go to the counter, they ask for credit card and license, even though I paid up front and app shows license info on my account.
10. The app is designed well, but what's the point if you can't pick and choose a rental car of your choice given they have a decent amount of inventory to select a car from, in the segment you reserved one.
11. In response to Avis tech support: I logged out and back in; I cleared data, uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled... nothing but the same error.
