BPme Customer Insights

1. It's like it's stuck on a continuous loop!!! Not sure this app is worth all of the trouble that I constantly have with it!!!! UPDATE: I was able to finally get in but it took using both my phone and my laptop to do it!! Just to let you know, I had removed and reinstalled the app....TWICE!!It used to work fine, but not-so-much anymore.

2. On the second time I used it, they fixed the AMEX problems and I could enter my card, but the app was still unreliable and took an extra try to get it to work.

3. (I tried to reset my password – three times – but it never sent the promised email for that.) IDK what's wrong now … but it's not worth the bother, frustration, and time (the app's sluggishness requiring a lot more time at the gas pump).

4. Using this method to pay takes a little longer, and it is also a hassle to check the pump number I have pulled up to, from inside the car.I was much happier with the previous system for the rewards.

5. When I've looked to see if I got credit for fueling, nothing, and then I see there's no stored payment info again.Work perfectly for a few months and I LOVED IT! Was so convenient and I really loved the discount.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix BPme Issues

1. Fix BPme Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart BPme: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the BPme App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BPme" » Open BPme: BP & Amoco Gas Rewards » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BPme » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear BPme: BP & Amoco Gas Rewards app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BPme servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BPme: BP & Amoco Gas Rewards" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BPme app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BPme might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BPme. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BPme then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BPme not working


2. Fix BPme Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BPme be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BPme not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BPme may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I pull into a BP station, turn off my engine, bring up the BPme app, then I get the following message: "Error... Sorry, we're having some technical issues. Please start again or fill up and pay for you fuel in the shop of at the pump........ Start again". I got this message multiple times.
