TV Control Customer Insights

1. The developer has failed to respond to emails or crash reports and the app has not been fixed.Really don't like this app because of it's annoying pop-ups (2 as soon as I open it, then 3 to 4 after connecting to device, I tap 3 buttons and BAM! AD's!! Tap a couple more buttons, MORE AD's!!! Ugh! It takes 2 minutes to turn my volume up/down! Feel like doin a little dance once I succeed!! Lol 🤣 + constantly having to go back and refresh/reconnect my device everytime I leave or idol the app.

2. I checked the FAQs and it mentions the free version has time limits for use... Apparently that time limit is approximately 15 seconds.I paid 20$ for the lifetime subscription and two days later the app won't connect to my tv anymore.

3. It is pointless though because you need the actual remote to turn on the TV before the app will even connect to it 🤦 ♀️ legit no reason to get the app at that point.

4. Con is you can just use the regular remote instead.I could only use it for a few minutes before the app wouldn't allow me to anymore, demanding I start a weekly subscription of at least 3 USD.

5. And the price is even more ridiculous when one looks at the actual features offered, which are only those on the actual remote.

6. Uninstalled.Update: the app works again! It really is my favorite Roku remote app and the pro version is about the cost of a new remote and much harder to lose... I really loved this app.

7. I can buy an actual roku remote for that much and have it for the entire life of the TV.

8. No way anyone can reasonably afford that rather than going out and getting a whole new remote for about the same price, only for one payment.

9. It just spins and says make sure your tv and phone are connected to the same wifi network, they are connected and the app was working just fine the last two days.

10. DO NOT DOWNLOAD! WASTE OF MONEY!!NOT FREE! I was pretty impressed with the ease of installation and intuitiveness of the app at first (ignoring the ads that cover the entire screen).

11. Installed as a "quick fix" while we wait on our replacement physical remote.
