Polycam Customer Insights

1. Picture count or something Basically pretty good, easy to understand, funny problemsI paid a lot of money for this app and it only works about 15% of the time for small models.

2. If you are paying for this app you are paying for something that does not work as good as some of the other free 3-D modeling apps.

3. I also think the app should allow the user to select the areas in the photos for more defined locations for the algorithm/cloud to create from.It's pretty good, albeit with some expected and unexpected issues.

4. It has potential but it's not there yet.Good, but not the best Just wanted to make it clear that there are apps which work better, which are free.

5. The app's UI is pretty straightforward, and the only thing I would add or alter would be to allow manual photos (for detail) when using auto mode.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Polycam Issues

1. Fix Polycam Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Polycam: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Polycam App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Polycam" » Open Polycam: 3D Scanner & Editor » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Polycam » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Polycam: 3D Scanner & Editor app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Polycam servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Polycam: 3D Scanner & Editor" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Polycam app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Polycam might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Polycam. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Polycam then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Polycam not working


2. Fix Polycam Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Polycam be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Polycam not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Polycam may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
