1. I use a samsung S7 edge with s3 gear.i love this app alot...working well untill i updated it few days ago...now it only display image from the back camera of my phone...but no button at all...cant take photo..cant record..cant do anything...is there anyway i can get the old setting back?Purchased the app for the phone and the widget.

2. Are we not supposed to be able to access the app on our phone? The app works from my watch but I cant access it on my phone.

3. Luckily newer watches have this functionality already built in making this app obsolete.I totally like the app!!! Only problem is the video refresh rate still being slow after the repeated daily updates for the camera speed.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Camera Gear Issues

1. Fix Camera Gear Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Camera Gear: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Camera Gear App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Camera Gear" » Open Camera Gear » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Camera Gear » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Camera Gear app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Camera Gear servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Camera Gear" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Camera Gear app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Camera Gear might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Camera Gear. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Camera Gear then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Camera Gear not working


2. Fix Camera Gear Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Camera Gear be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Camera Gear not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Camera Gear may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
