1. I purchased before I even finished the first diary card entry I was so excited.Aesthetic (font, design, backgrounds) : 1/5 Customization options : 0/5 »»» B U T ! Increased my frequency of using DBT skills : 5/5 This app is noooot good looking, to the point where normally I would discard it based on that alone.
2. But I decided to try and ignore that, and now using it (specifically the simple diary card) has increased my awareness and daily practice of skills 10-fold compared to when I was trying to use a paper diary card.Little hard to figure out first but how to section helped.
3. Has toggles for non- released features & is generally clunky.OMG, I LOVE THIS! I just started a DBT skills group and I have had difficulty with the diary cards page each week.
4. Emotion 1-5 tracking only gives a 0-2 option & the app does not reflect the standard diary card skill tracking.
5. I've been relying on this app instead of the regular DBT diary cards, but please Help!! We do need to actually show this info to our Therapist, you know :)Better than nothing as there's a shortage of this type of app & its free.
6. At first, I couldn't find the option to edit "target behaviors." If that hadn't been resolved, I would have deleted the app and tried another.
7. The graph is useful and if they set it up so you can email your daily cards to your therapist it would be great! There's an animated bubble that has to float up to the top of the screen and pop before the next question is asked.
8. The developer replied very quickly and was patient in helping me understand how to edit the "target behaviors." I've tried many different wellness tracking apps over the years and know what I like and don't like.
9. I didn't even get through a single diary card before i determined i couldn't use this. The app definitely could be improved through a redesign.
10. This is the first DBT diary card app I've used.
11. Having a check box and all the skills on the same page would be better than going through each skill individually.
