meterUP Parking Customer Insights

1. On 2 different occasions the app froze and I had $35+ ticket on my window instead of $15 all-day parking fee.Thought it was great until I couldn't select duration, didn't get a notification that meter was ending and it freezes more times than it works.

2. The last time, it didn't work and I was ticketed.Works well enough to pay for parking once you set it up.

3. of a parking kiosk, an orange warning message appears, which takes up needed space and prevents the duration numbers from showing up at the bottom of the screen.

4. This needs to work consistently or else it seems like it's designed to create ticketing opportunities for the parking authority.Pretty good app.

5. I just used a bonus benefit! I ended the parking session short and didn't have to pay the full amount.

10. BEWARE: when you extend your meter time through the app, the rate doubles for the next two hours and triples for the next 2 hours after that.

1. Fix meterUP Parking Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart meterUP Parking: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the meterUP Parking App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "meterUP Parking" » Open meterUP Parking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for meterUP Parking » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear meterUP Parking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from meterUP Parking servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "meterUP Parking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check meterUP Parking app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, meterUP Parking might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall meterUP Parking. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall meterUP Parking then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing meterUP Parking not working


2. Fix meterUP Parking Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make meterUP Parking be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.

  • I am requesting an account data deletion because there won't be any upcoming situations where I would need the app anymore. I downloaded the app for convenience while staying in Philadelphia for a few days and will no longer need it since I am returning to New York.
