KakaoMetro Customer Insights

1. Kakoa group is terrible.Was a fantastic app until one day it no longer understood searches for the english subway station names, only Korean.

2. English doesn't work in the search function anymore and the resulting route is also in Korean now.

3. Station name cannot be write in English.when i try to search it shows no match.

4. There is no other option to modify for the language, yet half the app is in English and half is in Korean.

5. App is useless to me now.Hard to Navigate since English does not work on the search bar anymore.

6. I double checked that all the language settings are set to english.It was a very user friendly app until this new update.

7. Even after changing language settings, the search button gives only korean option.

8. But from last few weeks, the app stopped showing results when i search in english.

9. Either an update idk but I'm not able to type the stations name in English ( From - To).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix KakaoMetro Issues

1. Fix KakaoMetro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart KakaoMetro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the KakaoMetro App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "KakaoMetro" » Open KakaoMetro - Subway Navigation » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for KakaoMetro » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear KakaoMetro - Subway Navigation app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from KakaoMetro servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "KakaoMetro - Subway Navigation" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check KakaoMetro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, KakaoMetro might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall KakaoMetro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall KakaoMetro then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing KakaoMetro not working


2. Fix KakaoMetro Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make KakaoMetro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to KakaoMetro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, KakaoMetro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
