Yoti Customer Insights

1. Yoti tec support advised me by email to uninstall yoti which had all my yoti account details inc passport, after I explained that I was unable to make a backup file which is nuts! Despite more than 10 emails to their tech support, they still cannot fix the bug! Hopeless hopless, hopeless!!Well I have had this app for a few years as they state they are secure and encrypted but I have just found out all my passwords held by them are now on the darkweb I can understand if it was just my email on there but seeing as you need face recognition to log in on unknown devices how on earth can this happen Thanks much appreciated I now have to change them all again all 89 passwords I shall now look for a more secure site seeing as these have failed to secure my detailsSeems good so far.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Yoti Issues

1. Fix Yoti Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Yoti: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Yoti App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Yoti" » Open Yoti - your digital identity » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Yoti » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Yoti - your digital identity app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Yoti servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Yoti - your digital identity" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Yoti app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Yoti might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Yoti. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Yoti then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Yoti not working


2. Fix Yoti Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Yoti be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Yoti not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Yoti may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I tried making a new account on Yoti but it says my number already in use but i haven't created any account using my 9833692565 please revoke the number and allow me to create a new account
