WebEye Customer Insights

1. When trying to add a unit to the list and after adding correct IP ports/account etc., press 'find' and a window comes up with 'Webeye has stopped' and options to 'restart app' or 'send feedback'.

2. The app works well even with old EH1600L DVR'sUsing a s21 ultra andriod 12 and the app doesn't let me choose the camera quality and is just permanently stuck on low quality mode.

3. It really more then likely cloned or reads data from your phone.Slow to upload cctv camerasGood Appno ipWorks but only after i updated the dvr firmware.

4. Please update and fix.Not impressed put something like this on the play store then take some responsibility and add random cameras to look maybe even actually hack into and mess with54mb to start with.

5. If app crash when adding new dvr for first time, just RESTART your phone/tablet and add it again.

6. I've tried numerous times to contact Webgate with no reply.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix WebEye Issues

1. Fix WebEye Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart WebEye: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the WebEye App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WebEye" » Open WebEye » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WebEye » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear WebEye app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WebEye servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WebEye" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check WebEye app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WebEye might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall WebEye. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WebEye then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WebEye not working


2. Fix WebEye Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WebEye be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WebEye not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WebEye may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
