My Verizon Customer Insights

1. I do not have the time to call and have someone look into the app as I've been spending 5+ minutes fighting with the automated system on the phone just to pay my bill each month.I been with Verizon for almost 20 years and as of last year has been the worse experience since they changed the system.

2. The adjustment of account settings always results in an error and trying to connect to the router hasn't worked yet.I don't know what Verizon did, but the app has become pretty much useless for several months.

3. Since there are no settings in the app for me to turn that feature off, I will be uninstalling this garbage app.Awful. Haven't been able to make a payment through the app for 3 months.

4. This app has been my primary way of paying my phone bill, and while it hasn't exactly been user friendly, has has been efficient.

5. Very disappointing that company makes it impossible for their own customer service people to help and also the "required" application rarely functions.So far it's been easy & fairly quick.

6. Tapping on the 3 horizontal bars that is supposed to show data hub, payment, account, etc shows a blank page.

11. I get around that by disabling the app, until I really need it.The APP that you have to use to accomplish anything anymore doesn't work and if you uninstall and reinstall it, may or may not work once.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Verizon Issues

1. Fix My Verizon Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Verizon: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Verizon App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Verizon" » Open My Verizon » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Verizon » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Verizon app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Verizon servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Verizon" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Verizon app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Verizon might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Verizon. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Verizon then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Verizon not working


2. Fix My Verizon Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Verizon be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Verizon not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Verizon may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
