UPS Customer Insights

1. Also, although I get emails from UPS when it recognizes a package being delivered to my address, those packages don't automatically appear in this app until I manually search for them by entering the tracking number.It was a good app at one point in time.

2. I see in my tracking history my package will be delivered to my preferred access point but there is no longer an option to cancel that feature under the UPS My Choice settings.I love the UPS app.

Having to click through several page links to try to get to what you need only to find pages/options missing/removed/not found, links that take you right back to the page you're on, options that can only be done by logging into UPS My Choice but the only thing it seems I can get to is the enrollment page when I'm already a member.

4. Recently though, I noticed that I can't cancel the option that allows my package delivered to a UPS access point.

5. When you ship something and print a label, it doesn't add the tracking number to the app, forced to manually add it later.

6. The only thing I've been able to do is track a package.I prefer UPS over their competition except for this app.

7. I can choose to copy and paste a tracking number without the app peeking at my private data in the clipboard.

8. The app keeps me logged in until I'm done tracking a package and then I can log out until the next package is in route.

9. All I want to do is track my packages, not jump through hoops to get the tracking app to actually work.

10. Before this update, all I had to do was add my phone number or email and bam! I would get text or email updates, whichever I chose.

11. Just to label a shipment so you know what it is takes a half dozen taps, making you wait several seconds every time you tap.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix UPS Issues

1. Fix UPS Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart UPS: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the UPS App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "UPS" » Open UPS » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for UPS » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear UPS app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from UPS servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "UPS" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check UPS app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, UPS might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall UPS. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall UPS then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing UPS not working


2. Fix UPS Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make UPS be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to UPS not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, UPS may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
