The app went from five star to one star in one update and I'm deleting the app and recommend you don't use it unless you like ads.Very general app, Information is poorly updated unless you subscribe to the "full Version" see big $$$$$$$ annual fee.. Note all these 'ship tracker/finder apps all use the same source of data.. So dont expect anything different with other apps.. Big plus for Marine tracker is low incidence of advertising compared to other identical apps.. Good for casual Boat Spotting.. It is prob not the App developers at fault for the poor updates as they have no control over the info they receive..Since the latest update (1st Jan 2020) this app no longer works in landscape on my Samsung tablet.

2. Maybe the paid version is better, but based on what I see with the free version, I'd not be inclined to give it a try.tiny map! poor design.. Minuses-- half the screen is taken up by a vessel info panel that i have NOT selected and have no interest in.

3. Pluses- it does work and seems to be reasonably accurate.I thought it would be cool to track my Alibaba purchase... and as most apps were too pricey , to use only once or twice... this free one seemed adequate so I downloaded it.

4. Also why is there no option to hide the information panel on the left of the screen? Most infuriating to only see half of the map, and seems even worse in portrait.

5. it utilizes the same AIS tracking radar used on most of these find ship apps.

6. it seems something happened about 10 days ago with the AIS satelite as all the apps are now showning delayed locations from 24 up to 72 hrs.

7. oh my goodness oh my goodness!!!...this thing is AWESOME ! If there's anything that doesn't have...I , certainly don't need it! Plus it's small in size and unobtrusive so I might even keep it when I'm done just for show.

8. you can use this app on a chrome book and you don't have to download it, again five stars.The app seems a bit slow and jerky, although the ads run smoothly, and load seamlessly.

9. As only a casual user, only really look for friends boats, use it once or twice a week, or when on the move.One of the least useful AIS apps.

10. one time I went into the menu and I couldn't get out so I had to reinstall the app, luckally I didn't loose any thing.

1. Fix Marine Tracker Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Marine Tracker: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Marine Tracker App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Marine Tracker" » Open Marine Tracker - Maritime traf » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Marine Tracker » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Marine Tracker - Maritime traf app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Marine Tracker servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Marine Tracker - Maritime traf" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Marine Tracker app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Marine Tracker might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Marine Tracker. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Marine Tracker then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Marine Tracker not working

2. Fix Marine Tracker Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Marine Tracker be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Marine Tracker not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Marine Tracker may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
