1. Instead I have to send the file to my Dropbox or Google drive or attach the phone to my computer and manually transfer it.Things you might like to know... You need an account to use (even test) You cant use the desktop version on its own GPX files must be from this app to use in desktop app - cant be from another device Cannot manually geotag photos without a trip log from the app.
2. In response to other users' ratings they have said to contact them through their website, but if others have had the same level of service that I have then I would avoid this app and find one either free or where you can actually get a response to your questions. The original Geotag Photos Pro (1) stopped working so I had to purchase the Geotag Photos Pro 2.
3. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I am tired of trying to get this one to work I can correlate my pictures in many other ways with a more accurate track made by other hiking apps.I can't overstate how useful Geotag Photos Pro 2 is for me.
4. I also can't delete erroneous tracks off a trip. After seeing the cost of a Canon GPS unit, I hoped I'd find some other way to add geotags, didn't expect it to be this easy.
5. I travel and I hike and spend much extra time taking reference shots with my phone (for Geotagging) only to then spend hours copying over the GPS data in Lightroom to pictures taken with my DSLR.
6. Lightroom users can load the Geotag Photos GPX file into Lighroom directly.
7. I just load my images onto my PC, open the Geotag GPX file with the PC application and sidecar files magically appear in seconds.
8. Not sure if you can confirm accuracy of geotag location with desktop app (didnt get that far but doesnt seem to have map).
9. Geotag has also allowed me to move completely to Capture One from Lightroom as C1 doesn't allow editing GPS directly, but it uses the sidecar files.
10. It saves our precious camera battery life (even if the camera has GPS function) and harnesses the accuracy of mobile phone positioning feature (utilising both GPS and mobile network positioning).
11. I can't go back to my birding trip and continue recording a new track (I like to see all the tracks on one trip pertaining to what it is I'm doing).
