1. DS file is ideal to manage files stored on your NAS, upload or download between the NAS and the Android device, or do basic editing tasks.
2. Besides file management, DS file is also a useful tool to do anything from browsing pictures, watching videos or checking work documents when you are on the go.
3. *You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running DSM 6.
4. And always securely with HTTPS support.
1. I really hope that soon SYNOLOGY takes care of the problem and gets a solution.Photo backup doesn't work as I expected it to.
2. So if you are in a directory looking for something, and click into a sub folder, if you go back to the previous directory, it places you in a different location than where you clicked in from, making manual searches nearly impossible in a large directory structure.Doesn't work.
3. Also, the backup function inexplicably requires you to log in, even though you're already logged in, but mostly it just returns an Error/Connection Failed status on the backup, and no amount of resetting or restarting makes a difference.Used to work great, now it's completely broken.
4. The app is useless.I use this app almost daily! One major flaw with photo backup feature; I cannot select DCIM/Camera directory as the source.
5. Also when photo backup worked it couldn't find some of the folders on my phone where my older photos were stored.
6. Photo backup doesn't work at all becuase of this.
7. Even worse, is the part where the automatic photo backup rarely works, at all, and even when it sort of works, it's *never* automatic (have to open app & log in).
8. Now it started to sync up the whole folder from scratch - creating duplicates in the NAS shared folder.I'd like this app a lot more if it didn't have these ridiculous, frustrating failures of logging in.
9. I would like to replace my DROPBOX photo backup with this, but can't because of this issue.
10. All that aside it works very well and is the fastest of all the other ds file access apps.Does exactly what I need it to do.
11. App times out randomly so if you are uploading a large file that will take time, it will xrash and need to restart the upload.
