Insight Timer Customer Insights

1. I think I even saw one that was 60 seconds! In my effort to be just a little bit better than yesterday, this app makes it easy and even enjoyable! May you find even a fraction of the value I have! Thank you Insight Timer 🤓After struggling with sleep issues lately, I'm so glad I found this app! I'm newish to meditating and it's hard for me to practice without guidance.

2. Insight Timer has a huge selection of free guided meditations and it's easy to bookmark your favorites and filter based on time, category, etc.

3. Insight Timer developers, please don't require saved payment info, and I'm sure users would contribute more.I would give this app 5 stars if they would just stop changing it.

4. It has a large selection of guided meditations, and other options like music, talks, courses.

5. ... I've responded to the developer, but the company has been unable to fix the problem (the timer is way too slow; when 25 minutes elapse IRL, the timer says only 6 minutes have elapsed).

6. One downside is the multiple upgrades ever month - though the only differences I've noticed is I can no longer find my usage data, and when I delete a track from a playlist I created, save, and return - the tracks are still there.

7. I have found a large variety of guided meditations and talks from addiction to ADHD and somuch more.

8. However, back when I first downloaded, I found the simplicity of having your presets on the first screen without other clutter to be what kept me using it.

9. My Duckduckgo tracking blocker is constantly blocking trackers from Insight Timer.

10. Great if you're looking for tons of guided meditation and I'm sure a lot more unlocked if you subscribe.

11. For people with mental health disorders, we often dont fit into the reasons they list.Do NOT use the timer on this app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Insight Timer Issues

1. Fix Insight Timer Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Insight Timer: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Insight Timer App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Insight Timer" » Open Insight Timer - Meditation App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Insight Timer » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Insight Timer - Meditation App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Insight Timer servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Insight Timer - Meditation App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Insight Timer app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Insight Timer might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Insight Timer. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Insight Timer then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Insight Timer not working


2. Fix Insight Timer Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Insight Timer be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Insight Timer not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Insight Timer may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • The app keeps breaking off. 4 times in the 20 minutes of a 30 min. Meditation. This is crazy and CONSISTENT. ITS BEEN HAPPENING FOR MONTHS ON ANY AND ALL MEDITATIONS.
    Please help, I'm ready to cancel my subscription

  • Not a complaint! I switched an iPhone 6s to an iPhone 10. Data kept is now back to 1 day of use. I left the 6 with 207 days. How can I tag on to my original data? Thank you. Don

  • I paid $59.99 for the premium subscription on June 24th and the app will not allow me to use the premium meditations and courses. There also is no phone number to contact them.

  • My app hasn't worked and I keep getting canned answers to my emails. Stats are wrong, font is off center and too big so I can't press many icons. Can't log out becaise of the font. Can't participate in course questions. It's been a long time and insight said it would be fixed in a week but all I get are how to email them auto responses. Please fix my app. I paid for the year!!!!

  • hi there
    I have a complaint regarding the donations.
    my publisher profile is nivritti yoga and not all the donation are credited to my account, during the stream user say they have donated but can't see their donation in my chat and neither do I see any donation there.
    I have complained this to finance department on 27th but no reply came from them.
    please look into the same and resolve it.

  • I wish to log onto live yoga session, but my iPhone is version 8 and the terms to accept my responsibility stretch too long. I couldn't click on Agreed. This means that I cannot take live yoga from Insight Timer. Can you help? Thanks a lot!

  • Hi, I downloaded the insight timer app last year but did not sign up for the membership subscription I just used the free parts then deleted after a couple of month as part of my hospital treatment. I did not agree to being charged for a membership I have not used and did not agree to. I have only found out there was a subscription when the payment was taken out of my account today, a year later of £51.99. I need this refunded urgently. I do not even have this app on my phone and was never notified of any payment or that I had accidentally signed up for anything. I cannot afford this charge and this is impacting on my mental health for which I was receiving treatment. Please can you refund?

  • Hi there,

    This will be my third time trying to reach out for help in using the insight timer app. I have not yet heard back from my previous two emails.

    I have subscribed to the member plus membership and am not being allowed access to any of the benefits. Every time I try to access member plus things on the app, it tells me I need to subscribe (which I already have). When i click to subscribe again, it tells me I’m already subscribed. It’s been paying for this membership since April 9, 2021 and have not been able to use any of the benefits that come with the membership.

    Please can I have some help in being sole to access the courses and be able to pause and rewind during medications.

  • As a Piaf member how do I access your courses. It seems to be asking me to pay again and when I click on the payment tab it tells me that I am already a member. Please advise.
