1. Love sharesight for all its functionality, but the mobile app seems an afterthought.Contains all the functional readable details from a sharesight portfolio, but the UI/UX is an eyesore and drastically needs an overhaul and contains no writable functionality (like adding trades).
2. The beauty is in its simplicity. An extremely poor attempt at a mobile app; happy to have all the functionality(buy/sell/detailed reporting etc) through the browser, but this app adds little value for all the effort you need to expend to change date/portfolios etc.
3. Attempted to create my own solution, but API access has a financial barrier to entry contrary to blog posts on the sharesight website indicating it's free.
4. Overall leaves a sour taste in my mouth and goes to show how low on the priority list their mobile platforms and audience are.I really like the app and how you can input your stock purchases.
5. The app probably has some use cases, and there are some nice things about it, but compared to the website it's not much.this is the best stock tracker in my experience only because it also tracks currency gain and loss.
6. You're better off using the mobile version on your phone, which is actually quite responsive and gives you access to all the features. It is basic app and quite hard to use.
7. I've got multiple portfolios spread over three different brokers and you can set the website to be pretty much autonomously tracking everything with no manual input.
8. So just sit back and use this to keep an eye on things and if you want bells and whistles use the website or use a different platform, it explicitly says "reader".
9. You should try the website on a desktop browser if you want to understand the real value of this service.
10. It doesn't need the functionality of the website.
11. The mobile website feels more useful than the app to me.
