SeaTalk Customer Insights

1. I like this app but it has to fix some serious bugs like network problem, calling problem! Communication must be smooth by easy accessible networkCannot multi login, once change device lost all past message really2 not suited for workApp doesn't sync with desktop version.

2. But I think dark mode should be the top priority feature for user's eyes comfort.I wish it has a feature where you can react to messages.

4. Most of my messaging apps had already supports dark mode, Seatalk should consider implement dark mode too! (Note: Please do black background not grey background when implemented.

6. it's tiring just to re-open the app all the timeDark Mode and Multiple devices (e.g. 2 phones and 1 PC) login.

10. When logged in on another mobile device, the app will be logged out, hence I am only allowed to stick with 1 device.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SeaTalk Issues

1. Fix SeaTalk Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SeaTalk: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SeaTalk App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SeaTalk" » Open SeaTalk » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SeaTalk » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SeaTalk app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SeaTalk servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SeaTalk" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SeaTalk app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SeaTalk might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SeaTalk. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SeaTalk then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SeaTalk not working


2. Fix SeaTalk Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SeaTalk be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SeaTalk not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SeaTalk may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
