PSEG Customer Insights

1. This appears to be a bug in the app that should be fixed.I accidentally deleted my method of payment by credit card and for some reason the system will not let me correct my error!Basic and functional, missing some nice to have features.

2. It's kind of a shame I'll only ever need to open it to look at bills and report service outages but if you have to, this is how I'd like to.I like that I can register to get text alerts for upcoming storms and other major weather conditions.

3. Would be much more useful to allow that to be expanded full screen and include at least a year or perhaps more.I originally added 3 checking accounts to the app under "PAYMENT METHOD." One of the accounts is now closed.

4. I can't enable it anywhere and therefore can't download my bill statements...If click on the location arrow icon on the Outage map, it displays 'unable to get your position'.

5. Fingerprint scanning also lags the entire phone and cause full crash (phone needs to be restarted at this point).

6. I wish more apps were as good.Very clean experience, no hiccups, very intuitive.

7. It's not bloated with unnecessary features and gives me fast access to information I want 90% of the time.

8. Thank you for taking the time in creating a good, important tool.

9. Would bump up a star if they used Biometric login on Android to support newer devices with facial recognition (e.g. Pixel 4 / 4 XL).

10. Making a payment is quick and easy.

11. Happy with overall process.It's pretty good but, the app is missing the storage permissions.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PSEG Issues

1. Fix PSEG Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PSEG: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PSEG App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PSEG" » Open PSEG » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PSEG » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PSEG app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PSEG servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PSEG" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PSEG app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PSEG might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PSEG. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PSEG then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PSEG not working


2. Fix PSEG Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PSEG be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PSEG not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PSEG may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
