About Cashflow

1. Users that keep a register for multiple accounts will appreciate the ability to enter a single transfer transaction that will enter a corresponding transaction automatically into the account specified to transfer money to/from.

2. Users preferring a different look can change the appearance of the application to display black letters on a white background as opposed to the default white on black style.

3. Using this application as a personal account ledger will allow users to track running, ending, and current balances for multiple accounts.

4. Cahsflow also offers users the ability to backup their data to a SD card, as well as the ability to email that file off of the device for safekeeping should the phone be lost, damaged, or reset.

5. Cashflow allows users to specify a variety of account types that can be used to filter the account list to only show a subset of the accounts being tracked.

6. This is a very useful tool for users that wish to project their cash flow by entering future transactions into their register.

7. Users may also enter scheduled transactions that can be set to appear automatically in the register on an interval, or specific day of the month.

8. Likewise, users have the ability to change the format for how dates are displayed within the app.

1. It hasn't been updated in 2 years and the backup features no longer work due to being incompatible with Dropbox/Google login.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cashflow Issues

1. Fix Cashflow Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cashflow: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cashflow App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cashflow" » Open Cashflow » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cashflow » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cashflow app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cashflow servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cashflow" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cashflow app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cashflow might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cashflow. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cashflow then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cashflow not working


2. Fix Cashflow Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cashflow be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cashflow not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cashflow may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
