1. I need a refund from google play.DO NOT PURCHASE Spent 8.99 and for the last 3 months and counting cannot even use it! Need it for work and I am unable to use so looking for another app insteadCan you fix the "send files by email" function or at least provide where the files are stored? This isn't working, which stops the main function of the app - to send dictations.

2. It says "Unable to start the sound record device." It has been broken for MONTHS now!! Please fix!!Since most recent update: can no longer start dictations as an error message says it can't access the recording device.

3. Update - still not working and no support.BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT Another Update - this time, like others I can no longer start a recording - Unable to start recording device - very frustrating.

4. Send message for support a few days ago and no replied very disappointedThe dictaphone interface is great, intuitive, clear, easy to use, and works just like a normal dictation machine.

Have contacted support, no timeframe, no fix awe told they don't have previous version apk file... yeah 🙄 clearly this is a low priority to NCH who don't seem to care about commercial users - wish I could give no stars! As you can see they don't read your reviews and just say "contact support" who tell you they can't give a timeframe for a fix!!UPDATE: I already contacted them.

6. This software in android does not work! It cannot send via email and it is totally pointless.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Express Dictate Professional Issues

1. Fix Express Dictate Professional Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Express Dictate Professional: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Express Dictate Professional App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Express Dictate Professional" » Open Express Dictate Professional » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Express Dictate Professional » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Express Dictate Professional app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Express Dictate Professional servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Express Dictate Professional" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Express Dictate Professional app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Express Dictate Professional might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Express Dictate Professional. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Express Dictate Professional then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Express Dictate Professional not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Express Dictate Professional be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Express Dictate Professional not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Express Dictate Professional may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
